Golden Devotion

Silk ribbons fall across the floor
We keep our shadows at the door
You turn your head in pale disguise
Gold dust is heavy on your eyes

A single gesture cuts the air
Polished and frozen in our stare
We build an altar made of glass
Waiting for quiet waves to pass

No need to ask what stays behind
Two statues tangled in the mind
We hold the line before we break

This golden devotion shines in the cold
A classic surrender refusing to fold
We stand in the silver, we move in the blue
No darker promise than wanting what's true

Our velvet borders softly fray
Before the morning turns to grey
You trace my collar with your palm
Lost in an artificial calm

No need to ask what stays behind
Two statues tangled in the mind
We hold the line before we break

This golden devotion shines in the cold
A classic surrender refusing to fold
We stand in the silver, we move in the blue
No darker promise than wanting what's true

Let the bright enamel crack
There is no turning back
We trade our statues for the flame
Without a signature or name

This golden devotion shines in the cold
A classic surrender refusing to fold
We stand in the silver, we move in the blue
No darker promise than wanting what's true

This golden devotion shines in the cold
A classic surrender refusing to fold
We stand in the silver, we move in the blue
No darker promise than wanting what's true

Golden devotion
Moving in blue
