Il testo
There's no picture of that summer
not one, we checked
We were far too busy having it
to stop and prove it happened
And now the only copy
is whatever I remember
We never took a photo
and I'm glad and I'm furious
Never took a photo
so it changes every year
Your hair gets longer in my head
and the sea gets bluer every time
We never took a photo
and I'm the only witness
I met you in a supermarket
fourteen years and one child later
And you looked absolutely nothing
like the person in my head
We never took a photo
and I'm glad and I'm furious
Never took a photo
so it changes every year
There's salt on the windscreen
and your feet up on the dash
and a song I can't remember
and I'm making up the words
We never took a photo
and I'm the only witness
Never took a photo
and the sea gets bluer every time
Bluer every time
